Eyedea Refractive

What it does

Eyedea Refractive supports the pre- and post-operative evaluation of refractive surgery, based on widely accepted practices from current medical literature. It is clinical decision support for ophthalmologists: results are an aid to judging the indication or contraindication of surgery, and must always be correlated with the in-person clinical evaluation.

Pre-operative

From the patient's pre-operative data and the intended flap and optical zone, it calculates:

• refraction after the nomogram is applied;
• central and maximum ablation;
• residual stromal bed;
• PTA and PSTA;
• the LASIK Ectasia Risk Score;
• predicted final keratometry;
• mitomycin time, among other values.

Post-operative

It analyzes the spherical refractive outcome together with PTA and keratometry variation, classifying results into objective clinical categories. Saved evaluations can be searched.

Availability

Free for Android (Google Play) and iOS (iPhone and iPad, from iOS 15.6, in the App Store). The app is available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
